SCD People Solutions
Navigating through conflict to drive better performance.

Hi, I’m Sue, the founder of SCD People Solutions.
I started my career writing racing tips for a newspaper in South Africa – not the most conventional start for a mediator! But when I moved back to England, I swapped horses for HR and worked my way up the ladder to become a Director of People Services.
Over my career I’ve handled sensitive employment issues of all kinds, including tribunal cases, grievance processes, and employee investigations. I developed a deep expertise in dispute resolution, which inspired me to train as a mediator with The TCM Group.
Since qualifying in 2011, I’ve worked with a whole host of household names. I’ve supported c-suite directors, politicians, drag queens and everyone in between, using my empathetic approach to reset difficult relationships.
I can help organisations of all shapes and sizes and have worked with clients across the public, private, and charity sectors. As a consultant, I’ve managed everything from one-on-one disputes to large-scale investigations.
My work is informed and influenced by my qualifications:
- I’m a Chartered Member of the CIPD, and hold a level 7 CIPD.
- I chair the Sussex branch of the CIPD, the professional body for HR & People Professionals.
- I hold a Diploma in Coaching from the University of Cambridge, and qualifications from Henley Business School and NLP School.
I also volunteer in community mediation and support mental fitness initiatives such as Action for Happiness. If you need someone to bring the joy back to your workplace, get in touch with me: sue@scdpeoplesolutions.com or use the form below.
